Read the bottom row twice. If you hunt 10x, a ten-round losing streak sits close to coin-flip territory, and it will happen to you repeatedly inside a single session. Your bankroll has to survive that, not merely the average case.

Notice what the table actually says. After nine consecutive losses you must risk C$1,024 to win C$2, with C$2,046 of your bankroll already committed. Two structural walls arrive well before that.

  1. The table limit. With a C$300 maximum stake, a progression from a C$2 base dies at step 8, at C$256, and step 9 is simply impossible. At that point the system does not "reset". It crystallises a C$510 loss with no recovery mechanism attached.
  2. The bonus max-bet cap. If you are wagering a bonus with a C$5 maximum bet, Martingale is dead at step 2.

Why the math does not care about your progression. Rounds are independent, so the expected value of round ten is identical to round one. Reverse Martingale (Paroli)
